Over the last decade, The Europas Awards has been an annual event. It recognises and champions the very best of Europe’s burgeoning tech scene. The awards were originally formed in 2009 by TechCrunch editor-at-large, Mike Butcher – and now we are just a matter of weeks away from celebrating the class of 2023.
But what makes The Europas so special? Well, since 2009 the event has helped to uncover some of Europe’s most aspiring, innovative and successful startups. Companies such as Spotify, Farfetch, Starling Bank and Depop are just a handful of renowned companies who have benefited from the spotlight The Europas has to offer.
In many ways, The Europas has acted as a shining beacon for some of Europe’s most enterprising tech startups. And, this year ThoughtLDR has three of our wonderful clients up for awards in Lisbon.
First up is Loopin, who have been nominated in the Hottest B2B/SaaS Startup category. Loopin is launching a new AI that’s trained on a customer’s thought leadership and body of work. It allows its customers - typically experts in coaching and leadership - to unleash a new model of high-performance learning for businesses and individuals. Imagine you at scale. Loopin gives everyone AI-powered experts on call to answer any question 24/7. It’s a radical new way to engage with information and we are here for it!
We are delighted that the incredible Neural Concept is nominated in the Hottest Artificial Intelligence Startup category. Neural Concept uses cutting-edge 3D deep learning to develop more efficient and higher-performance products for automotive OEMs and their suppliers including Airbus, Honda, Subaru, Bosch and four out of ten Formula One teams.
Their platform, NCS Shape, can learn from any non-parametric 3D design and this has a strong impact on optimisation possibilities, reduces costs of development and the time to market. Thanks to Neural Concept, we can expect to see Engineering Intelligence transform aerospace and automotive, leading to safer, faster and more sustainable products.
Also shortlisted is our client OctaiPipe, who has been nominated in the Hottest Deeptech Startup category. OctaiPipe’s mission is to make the world’s Critical Infrastructure smarter by putting artificial intelligence at the heart of connected devices. Their platform enables the deployment of AI-enabled IoT (Internet of Things) at the Edge which makes Critical Infrastructure smarter and more efficient.
OctaiPipe is achieving this aim via their closed-network Federated Learning tool as it removes the common barriers to market while still maximising security and safety. Not only do OctaiPipe have the ability to make the world’s Critical Infrastructure smarter and safer, but their Federated AI also minimises data transfers and lowers the cloud costs typically associated with AI at scale.
Our Founder, Tamara Sword will be joined by our Associate Director, Cat Lenheim and our Senior Account Director, Olly Cooper in Lisbon supporting our clients at The Europas.
